Alright, let’s dive into this tangled mess of gaming excitement with all its glitches and sparks. Square Enix, right? They’ve got this new gig cooking, The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales. Yeah, it’s for Nintendo Switch 2 and the classic old Switch. Sweet, I know.
So, here’s the scoop. Team Asano (those genius folks) are whipping up a land called Philabieldia. It’s wild, dangerous, and crawling with beasties. And then—get this—someone stumbles across ruins just outside the Kingdom of Huther. I mean, who names these places? Anyway, our hero, Elliot, and his fairy buddy Faie head out to unravel this cosmic mystery. Traveling through, like, space and time. Yeah, it’s bonkers.
Picture this: the world’s enormous, full of all sorts of nasties, secret caves, and ancient places that are bound to have, I dunno, lost socks or something equally random. Elliot’s got a stash of seven weapon types—swords, chains, sickles, you name it. And magicite lets you tinker with them. Faie’s no slouch either. Her Fairy Actions (how original, right?) can smash enemies, grab stuff you can’t reach, or whatever else fairies do. Who knew?
Tomoya Asano couldn’t hold in his excitement, blabbering on a blog somewhere: “Hey, The Adventures of Elliot! It’s our first swing at an action RPG in this HD-2D thingamajig. It’s simple but, you know, deeply satisfying.” Uh, sure, Tomoya. Simplify away.
Oh, and this: “Our HD-2D’s grown, moved through genres like a lost traveler. From classic RPGs with Octopath Traveler to strategy with Triangle Strategy… action RPG seemed like fun next step.” Right, ‘cause who doesn’t love a good genre hop?
Enter Naofumi Matsushita, ready to jazz everyone up with talk of a Debut Demo. “Folks, whether you know Team Asano from our past hits or not, check out our new action romp. Elliot’s journey, a thousand years in the making, coming to your screens in 2026.” Epic? Let’s hope so.
So there we go. Retail? Sure. Digital? Naturally. Nintendo eShop awaits.
P.S., there’s a trailer and some screenshots floating around somewhere. Go peek if you feel like it.
