I gotta tell you, crossplay in gaming—kinda a big deal these days. Not everyone’s doing it, but when they do, it’s like everyone’s at the same party, and that’s cool. So, Xbox Game Pass, right? It’s got this whole smorgasbord of games, but not every one of ’em is flaunting cross-platform action. Makes you wonder, though… What’s topping the charts for crossplay on Game Pass?
Apparently, July was a firework show for crossplay releases. Two of this year’s big shots blew our minds.
### Grounded 2
Surprise! Obsidian delivered Grounded 2 outta nowhere. I thought the first one was still their baby, but suddenly, here’s the sequel. It’s bigger, better, and… less backyard, more park. Rough edges? Sure, but it’s early days. It’s all about making your character yours and crafting like it’s still survival 101.
Oh yeah, the OG Grounded’s still lounging on Game Pass, waving its crossplay banner. So, dive in if that’s your jam.
### Abiotic Factor
Abiotic Factor launched July 22, 2025. Science meets survival meets… horror? You’re a scientist, stuck underground with your buds, fighting off creepy crawlies. Build a base, grab some grub, explore. Standard survival stuff but done right. I usually flounder in survival games, but this one? Had me hooked.
### 33 Immortals
Still in early access, but it’s a real trip already. Thirty-three players, multiplayer mayhem. Thunder Lotus nailed the co-op vibe. You might not always see all 32 buddies fighting alongside you, but still, teamwork is the name of the game. Think Hades-style combat but expect surprises. It’s early days yet.
Only on Xbox and Epic Games Store for now, so plan accordingly.
### Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition
Borderlands 4 is on the horizon, but 3’s ultimate edition still rocks the Game Pass scene. Vault Hunters galore, skills trees, and Pandora adventures. Plus, all the extra DLC goodies? Yes, please. Critics might jab at the story, but gameplay? Solid.
### Madden NFL 25
Sports and crossplay, like peanut butter and jelly—mostly. Madden’s letting everyone from console to PC tackle together. Just… don’t expect UFC 5 to join the party. Franchise mode, Ultimate Team—cross-platform chaos awaits. Check settings to toggle crossplay on or off. Your call.
### Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6
BO6 hit Game Pass right from the get-go! Modern Warfare 3 kinda slumped, so Black Ops had to bring it big. Campaign shines, but let’s be real, multiplayer’s the meat here. Zombie mode returns to form. Crossplay keeps it social—just how folks love it.
### Moving Out 2
Moving IRL? Awful. Moving Out 2? Hilariously fun. Trans-dimensional mover shenanigans, puzzling paths…. This one’s a party, but best with friends. Go solo if you must, but cross-platform team-ups are where it’s at.
### Diablo 4
A bit of a rocky start, but it’s shaping up. Story’s there, but grinding for fabulous loot is where the magic happens. Crossplay makes co-op intense and engaging, despite a few launch hiccups. Updates keep rolling in—some more helpful than others.
### FBC: Firebreak
A multiplayer shooter from Remedy! Control vibes in co-op format. Only five maps, so yeah, it could use a content buffet, but it’s fun. Basics: shoot stuff, extract stuff. I had some laughs with it.
### Mortal Kombat 11
MK11 still kicking around, even with MK1 worming its way into the limelight. Crossplay on Game Pass and PS Plus Extra means epic battles with friends—just check your console generation compatibility. Methodical, strategic fighting is the name of MK’s game, even if cash grabs got folks grumbling early on.
Whew, there you have it. Crossplay playland on Game Pass, a real mixed bag of goodness. Every title’s got a little something unique, and it’s all waiting for you. Let’s get gaming!
