Nintendo just, like, threw out a software update for Super Mario Party Jamboree. Can you believe it? Now we’re at version 2.1.0.
So, boom, they’ve made it all fancy for the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition. And yeah, they squashed a bunch of bugs. (Side note: why "bug"? I mean, couldn’t it be called a glitch or something less… creepy?)
Anyway, they’ve got all these patch notes — reading them feels like sifting through my old notes from high school. Full disclosure: I barely skimmed those back then too.
Okay, where was I? Oh right! Here’s the gist of the juicy stuff for the Switch 2 crowd:
General — no idea why they call it that, but it sounds important, right?
Bug Fixes
-
So there was this weird thing where players got stuck in the Broozer Bash rules screen. It’s like when you get trapped in a thought loop during a boring lecture. Fixed now, hooray!
-
Another glitch popped up when skipping studio videos at just the wrong moment. Like missing a cue on stage. Fixed!
-
Cameras were being super finicky—think of them as cats deciding they need attention. Fixed it all up, supposedly.
-
What else? Oh, they mucked about with CPU movements in some mouse-based minigames. Why mice? Who knows…
- Online bugs? Gone. At least that’s the story they’re sticking to.
And they say there are a ton of other tweaks, but they’re mysterious and unsung… like some forgotten indie band of fixes.
Now — let’s roll over to the vanilla Switch side of things:
Bug Fixes
-
Rhythm Kitchen got weird if you hit “Play Again.” Something about a CPU just deciding to peace out in Mario’s Rainbow Castle. No more of that nonsense.
-
Stamps were acting up—like, what kind of bugs out with stamps? Must be some arts-and-crafts gremlin. Fixed, though.
- Again, some internet gremlins mucking with online play. Zapped ‘em, apparently.
So, yeah. Lots of under-the-hood stuff that might make things smoother and shinier, if you’re into that. Or not. I don’t even know.
Switch on, folks.
