Oh man, guess what? So, Nintendo’s cooking up a treat for us Legend of Zelda fans. Yeah, they’re finally making a live-action movie, and people are buzzing about it — like, seriously, it’s almost a little overwhelming, but in a good way, you know?
So, let’s talk about the cast. Bo Bragason is stepping up as Zelda. And, get this, Benjamin Evan Ainsworth will be our guy Link. I can almost picture them now — though, honestly, my mental image does tend to go off on odd tangents. Like, I see Bo, but she’s kinda surrounded by a bunch of random ideas floating around, like, why do I always forget my charger when I need it most? No idea why that popped into my head.
Miyamoto himself got all official — posted on social media and everything. There was this whole, “This is Miyamoto. Blah blah blah, looking forward to seeing them on big screens.” And then the drop, of course: May 7, 2027. Still a bit of a wait, but these things take time, I guess.
Oh, and speaking of who’s behind this whole project, there’s Shigeru Miyamoto (the legend himself!) and Avi Arad, this guy who’s had his hand in all sorts of stuff — Ghost In The Shell, Venom, you name it. So, yeah, expectations are kind of through the roof.
And Wes Ball? Yep, he’s the director. Really curious to see his take, maybe he’ll bring some wild twists to the table, or maybe everyone will unexpectedly break into musical numbers. Anything’s possible, right?
Sony and Nintendo are sharing the bill, more or less, with Nintendo footing more than half. Guess it makes sense — I mean, it’s their baby, after all. Sony will handle chucking it onto theater screens all over the globe.
Mark your calendars or scribble it somewhere random in case your brain works like mine — May 7, 2027. The world gets its live-action Zelda. Let’s just hope it’s worth all the hype, fingers crossed!
