Whoa, okay, so here’s the thing — Steel City Interactive just threw down this new Mexican Monster DLC fighter pack for Undisputed, coming out later today. Yeah, they’re ramping up big time with a content update on June 26. It’s like, they’re dropping seven new fighters and five fresh kits for the old ones. Exciting? Hmm, depends on who you ask.
So, fans are kinda split, right? The last DLC, uh, “The Iron and Steel fighter pack,” added legends like the Klitschko brothers and Shannon Briggs. But folks were mad because the game was, well, kinda broken. Bugs everywhere, matchmaking was a mess, you know the deal. People were like, “Yo, fix your game first!” And, to their credit, Steel City did push out four patches in five weeks — pretty wild, right?
Anyway—no, wait—let’s get back to the juicy bits. They teased us earlier about this Mexican Monster pack, and now we know who’s in it. Seven fighters, rolling out with the update at 8 AM PT / 11 AM ET on June 26. Some of our boxers like Eddie Hall or Ricky Hatton are getting snazzy new looks. Oh, and Sugar Ray Robinson too!
Right, the new fighters. We got Andy Ruiz, a glorious 1987 Sugar Ray Leonard, and, um, a few more. Who’s here again? Oh yeah, Charles Martin, Robert Helenius, Hector Camacho, David Benavidez, and Fernando Vargas Sr. Pretty stacked line-up, honestly.
There’s this much-awaited Patch 1.4 — it’s free if you own Undisputed on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, or PC. Extras include robes for fighters like Amir Khan, which, for some reason, folks have been losing it over. Plus, they’re throwing in some gameplay tweaks, bug squashing, and three new fighters that won’t cost an extra dime: Damian Chambers, Jack Dempsey, and Jack Johnson.
Oh, and matchmaking’s getting a twist too. Instead of picking just one fighter and crossing fingers, you can queue with multiple fighters across weight divisions. Finally, right? No more Eternal Waiting Room antics — or so we hope.
And so, there we are. Can’t say what’ll happen next, but whatever, we’ll roll with it. Fingers crossed Steel City’s got their act together this time.
