Oh man, where do I even start with this? I guess Bandai Namco is throwing one heck of an online shindig this week. Like, they’ve got this Summer Showcase thing happening. It’s all set to stream live, but honestly, I’ve got no clue why this particular Wednesday at noon PT (that’s like 3pm ET, 8pm BST, and if you’re chilling in Central Europe, make it 9pm CEST) seemed like the perfect time. I mean, maybe it’s just me, but I’d probably be napping or binge-watching something else.
So, what’s the deal? Well, they’re gonna spill the beans on a new My Hero Academia game. And listen, I’m all for surprises but is it really a surprise if they tell you it’s coming? Anyway, besides that, there’s this whole lineup—Code Vein II, some wild stuff called Death Note Killer Within (sounds ominous, right?), Digimon Story Time Stranger, something about golfers that I probably won’t understand (Everybody’s Golf Hot Shots, if I’m being all precise).
And get this, they’re also throwing Little Nightmares III at us. I didn’t know there was more than one, but hey, what do I know? Then there’s Patapon 1 + 2 Replay. Replay though? Why not just play it once and get it over with? Sorry, got sidetracked there. What was I even saying? Right, Shadow Labyrinth, whatever that is, some Super Robot Wars Y—why not X? That always bugs me. But moving on—Tekken 8! Looking forward to some good button mashing there. And then a couple of other things with really ‘creative’ names like The Blood of Dawnwalker (creepy) and Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree. Honestly, I’m just picturing a bunch of folks in capes protecting some big ol’ tree.
So yeah, if you’re into this kind of chaos and flashing lights, set an alarm or something. Or just sleep through it. I’ve not decided what I’m doing yet.
