Alright, so here’s the deal. Konami, yes, that Konami, still has some tricks up its sleeve after the Summer Game Fest craziness. Weird, right? I mean, you’d think they’d be out of steam. Anyway, they’re throwing this shindig called Konami Press Start. Sounds like a gamer’s dream or a bad pun – take your pick. It’s supposed to be full of game news and updates. Like, we’re getting more Metal Gear Solid 3 (yay for nostalgia) and, not to forget, the next original Silent Hill game. Quite the throwback, huh?
This whole thing is happening bright and early on June 12. Set your alarm for 9 a.m. EDT or if you’re on the West Coast, enjoy the 6 a.m. wake-up call. Catch it on YouTube – assuming you’re not a zombie in need of caffeine by then. They’re saying it’ll go for 37 minutes. Very specific, right? Like somebody sat there with a stopwatch. Expect chatter about Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater – catchy name – and Silent Hill f. But wait, there’s supposedly more. Maybe we’ll finally hear about the Gradius Origins collection? Fingers crossed. And who knows, maybe some juicy details on the next Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection or even DLC for Bloober Team’s Silent Hill 2. Might be wishful thinking, but a gamer can dream.
