Ok, so I just stumbled across this VR game inititive called, um, Eldramoor: Haven in the Mist and—get this—it’s blowing up on crowdfunding. Like, they hit $100,000 already! Crazy, right?
Hold up, this all kicked off on June 24th and, oh man, fans of that now-defunct Orbus VR? They’re totally hyped. A bunch of ex-players from Orbus started this whole thing, hoping to bring back those good ol’ MMO vibes. Nostalgia trip much? Anyway, they had this do-or-die goal of 25 grand, and bam, hit it in like 90 minutes. I mean, sure, it was a low target, but still impressive for all they wanna do—like spells, classes, guilds, you name it.
Lynn M. Souza, the big boss at Resolute Games, was all like, “We want what Zenith pulled off.” So, yeah, aiming for that snowball effect. Since the start, they’ve been throwing in these stretch goals. Like, a ‘Bonfire’ healing thing, new magic tricks, plus a totally new species to play as. Oh, and something about letting peeps crash in player houses. Weird but kinda cool?
So, pets are also a thing—kicked in with $125,000 raised. And they aren’t just for snuggles, no sir. They’re gonna be useful little critters in battle too. Eldramoor’s eyeing a late 2026 release for Oculus Quest 3 and SteamVR. Meanwhile, they’ve got until, uh, July 24th to rake in more cash. If you’re into all this, maybe go snoop around their Kickstarter before time’s up.
