Okay, so here’s the deal. Bigscreen’s been busy. They’re finally shipping their Beyond 2 headset, which, by the way, kinda looks futuristic in a way that makes me oddly nostalgic. Don’t ask why.
After a bit of a hiccup in production—seriously, who doesn’t have those?—they’re catching up on pre-orders. Feels like I’m always waiting on something I ordered ages ago. Anyway, they say if you order now, you’ll probably see it by September. Or not. Who knows?
They’ve got two versions: Beyond 2 and Beyond 2e. The latter has eye-tracking. Cool, right? Beyond 2 is a little over a grand, and if you want to splurge, the 2e is around $1,219. Everything direct from Bigscreen only. No middleman drama, which is refreshing.
Now, the popularity’s through the roof. Their launch day sales in March smoked the first version’s four-month tally. Kinda impressive. In 11 days, they sold more than the Beyond 1 sold in a year. Had to beef up their LA factory and draft more folks to keep pace. Probably some engineers camped out overseas too—supervising, I guess.
Side note: If you’re into Custom-Fit Cushions (sounds fancy), orders up to May 7th should see delivery by mid-August. And Halo Mounts? Expect those in the fall-ish period, thanks to some not-so-shocking delays.
Oh, and here’s a kicker, if you’re still waiting on a Beyond 1? They’re sending you the updated version with no extra cost. Nice touch, right? That should all wrap up by the end of July.
Lastly—because every good story needs a tax subplot—they’ve promised no price hikes despite those pesky tariffs from China. I mean, nice to see promises being kept sometimes.
That’s the scoop. Or most of it, anyway.
