Okay, so here’s the scoop. Capcom (they’re like this big deal in gaming if you didn’t know) is gearing up to celebrate Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess hitting the one-year mark. Can you believe it’s been that long? Anyway, they’re tossing out a freebie next month — which is totally rad in today’s world.
Right, so what’s the gift? They’re adding this Yashichi Waves Mazo Talisman thing. Stick with me here — it’s free and it jazzes up the music with some retro, 8-bit vibes. Remember those old-school games where the music was kind of crunchy and perfect in its own way? Exactly like that.
Now, onto the game itself. You play as Soh. No idea who came up with that name, but it’s got a nice ring to it. Your mission, if you choose to accept it (and you should because it’s super fun), is to guard this mystical lady, Yoshiro. She’s kind of important, and you’ve got to fend off these creepy crawly things known as the Seethe. As you could guess, it’s hectic, but that’s where strategy and – get this – kagura sword dancing comes into play. Who’d have thought dancing would be a weapon, right? Madness. Or is it genius?
And just when you thought that was cool enough, there’s more! The game’s now ready to roll on the Nintendo Switch 2. Yeah, that’s a thing. If you’re like me and love gaming on the move, this is your jam. They’ve added some nifty features for this version. You’ve got handheld, tabletop, and TV mode, which might sound like too many options, but hey, choices are good. Plus, you can play with a mouse or even use gyro controls. Fancy, right?
Oh, almost forgot. There’s this new adventure bit called “Otherworldly Venture.” Sounds intense, huh? It’s extra content, and guess what, it’s free! Who doesn’t love free stuff?
Anyway — oh! The game’s all digital now. You can snag it on the Nintendo eShop for this new Switch 2 thingamajig. Global, man. We’re talking worldwide availability.
So, there it is. Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is doing the anniversary thing, and it’s shaping up to be a fun ride. I might check out the trailer later, but I’ll probably get distracted. Where’s my Switch…?
