Sure thing, here we go:
Okay, so here’s this juicy little tidbit from Brilliant Labs, right? They’re prepping to unleash another brainy set of specs as July’s curtain call, marking ring number three in their gadget circus since they popped onto the scene in 2019. And yes, cue the “Oohs” and “Aahs.”
See, last year, they threw Monocle at the developers’ den, a nerdy kit to slap on your existing glasses. Kind of like dressing yours up for a tech ball, I guess. Then, 2024 rolls around, and bam! They drop Frame – think Monocle but cooler, because now it’s like actual glasses – with a little peek-a-boo camera! Who thought squeezing the future into just under 40 grams could be this slick, huh?
There’s a picture here, by the way. I mean, I know you can’t see it, but trust me, it’s there.
The Frame, according to Brilliant Labs (and why wouldn’t they say this?), is a pocket-sized genius. A personal AI buddy, whispering sweet, search-engine-flavored nothings into your ear – real-time translations, answers out of thin air, the works.
But back to the future. July 31st is the big day, folks. Pencils ready? The deets are super hush-hush right now. Bobak Tavangar, the head honcho, is having a little chinwag over on the augmented reality subreddit soon, so might want to keep your eyes peeled there.
Another pic here too. Just squint and imagine it.
Ah, the new gizmo’s ditched its Harry Potter glasses theme for something sleeker. Sounds like they wanted to fit in at the cool kids’ table. Anyway, July 31st has secrets to spill.
Oh boy, everybody wants in on this tech frenzy. Right after BRILLIANT’s shenanigans, Meta and EssilorLuxottica threw their fancy Oakley Meta HSTN specs into the ring, and Xiaomi’s jumping in with its own AI glasses. Not to mention Google’s looming collaboration with Warby Parker and Gentle Monster – just slightly intimidating teams, alright?
Brilliant Labs still kinda stands alone with their display-toting glasses for now, but others are trailing not far behind. Google promises some kind of visible wizardry in their upcoming models. And if the grapevine’s to be believed, Meta’s next pair might come with an arm candy wrist control.
Time will tell, huh?
