Amazon’s Prime Day chaos. Yeah, it’s wrapping up, but there’s one last chance to snag a killer deal on VR stuff. I mean, I almost forgot to check, but here we are.
So, there’s this Quest 3S thing – dropped last October or something. It’s normally $300 if you want the 128 GB, and $400 for the 256 GB. Oh, and it plays all the games the Quest 3 can. Except, you know, it’s a bit chunkier. Like a cheap knockoff but not really.
Anyway – wait – what was I saying? Ah right, discounts! Today, both versions are cheaper. The 128 GB is at $250 and the 256 GB is $330. That’s not bad, right?
Random thought… ever notice how those price drops make you wonder if we’re always overpaying? Just me?
So there’s also this image, courtesy of Meta or something… but who has time to really look at those details?
Oh, almost forgot – there’s this Gorilla Tag bundle with the 128 GB. Some exclusive stuff, 1,000 Shiny Rocks or whatever. Meanwhile, the 256 GB variant comes with a free Batman game. Meta’s throwing it in for both versions though. Wonder if they got confused there or just generous? Not sure.
But hey, some accessory deals are floating around too. Stuff like the Elite Strap and Link Cable. I checked, they’re not cheaper when bundled, so maybe skip that unless you’re really into organizing.
Sure, it’s not the steepest discount – Black Friday was a wild ride – but hey, still decent if you’re eyeing games like Asgard’s Wrath 2 or something. You can even connect to a VR-ready PC and dive into stuff like Half-Life: Alyx, which is a whole other universe.
In truth, if you can’t decide, read our review on Quest 3S. Honestly, even for $300, it’s a steal. At least that’s what the experts say.
And there it is – my rambled thoughts on a VR deal. Jeepers, Prime Day, you always get me!
