Patch 1.05 has landed for WWE 2K25, ironing out several typos and graphical hiccups, particularly in the Creation Suite, which should streamline the player’s experience. This update is also enhancing online stability and overall performance, focusing on facets like The Island and MyFaction mode, as developers work tirelessly to address bugs and tighten up gameplay as the official release approaches.
Available on all platforms, Patch 1.05 made its debut shortly after WWE 2K25’s early access kicked off for those with special editions. Despite the game being well-received, early players have been bumping into a handful of unexpected glitches and bugs. Perhaps most amusingly, players unearthed some surprising typos, minor visual gaffes that, while not game-breaking, chip away at the game’s immersive quality. For fans, reading iconic phrases like “Best Im The World” and “Phenomenal Ons” spelled incorrectly can be a bit jarring. Fortunately, the recent update has started to patch up these errors.
Moreover, TheSmackDownHotel reports that the patch goes beyond cosmetic fixes. Notably, it corrects the errant spelling on CM Punk’s shirt and eliminates the misleading “Intergender Wrestling” message seen in Universe mode. Creation Suite sees several key improvements with missing sub-menus like emboss and material settings being reinstated, while issues related to custom images, face tattoos, and grayed-out options have been resolved as well.
Online encounters also see improvements, with stability and performance enhancements on deck. While the patch notes do not specify which modes see the most benefit, some players continue to report slowdowns possibly persisting in The Island. In contrast, MyFaction mode seems to be benefiting from a smoother experience.
As WWE 2K25’s official release on March 14 draws near, the game has been out for early access for just about a week. Developers are clearly hustling to ensure a smooth experience when the broader player base steps into the ring. Hardcore fans are not shy about pointing out remaining issues, and while MyRise mode’s major bugs have thankfully been addressed, the aim is to polish up the smaller glitches for a truly seamless experience.
The update also rolled out improvements across various departments. Under General, they’ve made stability and performance tweaks. In Universe mode, issues like the Self-Promo malfunction and an incorrect “Intergender Wrestling” prompt have been tackled. Character fixes include correcting Santos Escobar’s facial hair color and updating CM Punk’s shirt text. Within Create modes, the patch reinstates missing sub-menus and also addresses custom image display issues. Lastly, the Create-A-Superstar mode sees resolutions for face tattoo duplications and locked options.
With WWE 2K25 ready to captivate fans, it’s reassuring to see the developers committed to refining and perfecting the experience right from the get-go.
