The developers have emphasized that they’re committed to unveiling details about the game when they’re absolutely ready, rather than yielding to outside pressure.

In a recent instance, amid online chatter about the Spider-Man 2 PC port, one follower took a jab at the studio, suggesting that PS5 loyalists were being overlooked. The comment came with a touch of sarcasm, referring to Insomniac as “such a great team.”

Normally, Insomniac keeps away from engaging with such comments on social media. However, this time, they chose to step in. Their response was straightforward: “We’ll share news about the game when we are ready to share it,” highlighting their autonomy with a firm “we.” They made it clear that not everything can be sped up just because it’s requested; development involves time, resources, and approval to share updates.

Nevertheless, Insomniac reassured fans that work on Wolverine is actively progressing.

Towards the close of 2023, Insomniac faced a serious setback when a ransomware attack led to a leak of Wolverine’s alpha footage. While the studio expressed its dismay over the incident, it reassured fans that the breach hasn’t derailed the game’s progress or its intended reveal plans.
