Okay, so Capcom’s at it again, shaking up the Street Fighter universe with some fresh faces. They’ve got this Year 3 Character Pass thing going on, and it’s coming with four — count ’em, four — newbies. Now, here’s the kicker: the announcement, if you can call it that, was made in a trailer featuring Kenny Omega. Who? Yeah, the pro wrestler. He’s out there in costumes trying to pull off moves of these new characters. Honestly, it’s kinda wild.
So, who do we have joining the fray? There’s Sagat — yes, that Sagat, Mr. Muay Thai himself. Next summer, he’s storming in with his towering presence and all the kicks you can handle. I mean, was he ever not in a Street Fighter game?
Then, we’ve got C. Viper. She’s this undercover agent with gadgets and a Battle Suit that looks like something out of a sci-fi movie. Come autumn, she’s apparently not taking any prisoners. I can’t even imagine what kind of mission she’s on this time. CIA meets kickboxing?!
And oh, Alex! If you’re into wrestling — the non-wrestling, wrestling kind that’s in video games — he’ll be body-slamming his way back to the streets in winter. I swear, he can probably suplex a truck if he tried.
Finally, there’s Ingrid. Now she’s a mysterious one, isn’t she? All sunlight and power, popping in next spring. Never judge a character by her look, I guess?
Oh, and don’t miss it — the first two years of Street Fighter 6 Fighters are bundled up nicely and available literally everywhere, from traditional stores to the Nintendo eShop for the Nintendo Switch 2. None of this is on sale, but hey, did you expect discounts in the world of digital fighting?
Can’t wait to see how all this plays out. Until then, I guess I’ll be over here, trying not to get KO’d.
