Alright, so today was one of those days for Arc Raiders fans. I mean, it was like everyone’s sitting on the edge of their seats, just hoping—wishing maybe—that something big would drop. And, surprise, surprise… it kinda did! Ever since the second Tech Test wrapped up in May, you know, people have just been itching to keep playing. Like, seriously, some folks were already calling it “polished” and practically begging for a release.
But hold on—before we get too excited—it wasn’t quite the major launch announcement. Nope. What we got was a date. A stinking release date, haha! October 30, 2025. Mark it, remember it, set alarms, whatever you gotta do. The game’s hitting PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
Now, fans were crossing fingers for another beta test, but nope. Not this time. So, if you missed out on Tech Test 2, well—tough luck? Believe me, those who couldn’t play were just glued to their screens, living vicariously through streams or whatever. Frustration city, right?
But hey, here’s the silver lining, or at least I hope so. Embark’s been cooking up an updated version, adding more sauce to what was already a solid dish. Arc Raiders was pretty darn good as it stood, with a vibe that nudged at my nostalgia button. Seriously, it gave me those classic PUBG feels—a hardcore gamer’s delight.
Now onto the deets… and maybe a bit of a nerd-out sesh here. Embark and Geoff Keighley, they seem pretty tight. Arc Raiders first showed up at The Game Awards back in ’21. Back then, it wasn’t even what it is now. More like a co-op thing. The studio’s first game, The Finals, just appeared outta nowhere in December 2023 at The Game Awards, so honestly, folks were kinda on their toes going into this Summer Game Fest.
Anyway—hold up, where was I? Oh yeah. Lots of anticipation, and a date. October 30, 2025. Can’t come soon enough, right?
