Man, so Blumhouse and Kinetic Games are, like, teaming up to make a movie out of that creepy game, Phasmophobia. Never saw that coming, right? Ha! Anyway, Blumhouse — you know, those folks who scare the pants off everyone — and James Wan’s crew, Atomic Monster, are in on it too. Crazy, huh?
Daniel Knight, the big shot over at Kinetic Games, was all pumped and was like, “Hey, we’re making a Phasmophobia film!” or something like that. It’s apparently a huge deal for his team. They’re buzzing like bees — or, I dunno, something that buzzes. Honestly, who would’ve thought this game would blow up like it did five years ago? Fans went wild over it, and now here we are, movie time!
Oh, and this game! Ever played it? You play as these paranormal folks, hunting ghosts or whatever. Feels like an episode of Ghost Hunters sometimes. Not surprising it’s becoming a film, if you ask me. They’ve got this big update coming in June too. Seems like they’re revamping everything — levels, rewards, you name it. Heard they’re even tweaking the old Grafton Farmhouse and throwing in a new map. Not that I’d know what any of that means.
Blumhouse is like the king of horror now, right? I mean, they did crazy stuff like Five Nights at Freddy’s and Insidious. Oh, and Atomic Monster? They’re the brains behind spine-tinglers like The Nun. Seriously, if you’re into horror, you’ve probably watched their stuff. Or maybe not — what do I know?
