Hey, listen, I heard some buzz last year—one of those wild Apple rumors, you know? They’re chatting with Sony about hooking up VR controllers to the Vision Pro. Crazy, right? Friends say this might drop next week. Or maybe not. Who knows!
So, here’s the thing. Apple might be letting PSVR 2’s Sense Controllers play nice with their system. Oh, and Xbox too. Imagine that! Gamepads! Anyway, I saw this on 9to5Mac, while I was supposed to be working. Guilty as charged.
WWDC’s coming up, and maybe—big maybe—we’ll hear it officially there, but Apple loves surprises, huh? They’re tweaking visionOS. I keep forgetting what they call that now. iOS gets a facelift too, because why not?
Vision Pro’s been, what’s the word, tricky? Just hand-tracking and Bluetooth—gamepads, keyboards, headphones—stuff like that. Developers are scratching their heads a bit, trying to make old games fit new tricks, you know? But, really, should they? Not every game likes hand aerobics.
Now, some say, “Hey, PSVR 2 controllers won’t make Vision Pro fly off shelves.” I mean, it’s pricey, like, real fancy-appetizer pricey. More computer than console vibe, but down the line, cheaper versions might go all-in on controllers. Wouldn’t that be something?
Oh, Mark Gurman? Yeah, he’s been spilling about Apple and Sony chatting—something about them asking Sony out for virtual coffee early this year. Funny thing, Apple said “VR controllers? Nope!” just before that. Classic move.
Anyway, WWDC’s on Monday, June 9th, 10 AM PT. Tune in on YouTube, if you remember. I need sticky notes for this stuff, seriously.
Does any of this make sense? Maybe. Or it’s just tech world noise. Who can say?
