Whoa, okay, so guess what? Neat Corp, the brains behind the whole Budget Cuts vibe, is tossing us into another VR rollercoaster with this game called Crossings. Imagine hacking and zapping your way through some crazy Norse afterlife. Sounds wild, right?
So, the gist here is it’s like this co-op roguelite thing. You’re diving into some ever-shifting world—vengeance quest, survival gig, all while hanging out with other lost souls. They say you’ll be blocking, dodging, and powering through trolls and draugr and all these spooky critters. No chit-chat, just straight-up movement and trust. Super intense.
And, you’d be like, learning spells and upgrading your gear. We’re talking Viking swords, axes, clubs, and this killer thing called the ‘Tooth of Nör’. Pretty sure I’d just run around aimlessly trying not to get smacked by ghostly beings. But hey, that’s the thrill, right?
Here’s what Neat Corp spills about the game vibe: you pop awake in some cold, forgotten realm—not quite dead, not quite alive. I picture it like, wandering between dreams kinda thing. Every time you play, everything changes. You bump into other lost souls, and it’s just movement to communicate. Combat sounds hardcore—like, really need to get your timing down for spells and dodges.
Creatures? Oh man, they’re ripped from old Norse myths. Trolls, draugr—the whole shebang. You either go it alone or buddy up. Every decision leaves its mark, and, well, each run is like a new chapter.
No date yet on when we’ll get our grubby hands on it, but you can wishlist it on Horizon Store for Quest and Steam for PC VR. Oh, and heads up, there’s a demo during Steam Next Fest, October 14th to 21st, if you wanna sneak a peek at this mysterious Norse adventure.
Crazy stuff, huh?
