Hey, so here’s the thing. “33 Immortals” – yeah, that game thingy – it’s back for those folks on Xbox. There’s this playtest kicking off Tuesday, May 20, at 8 am Pacific (or 11 am if you’re on the East Coast, go figure). It runs for, like, 6 days and wraps up on May 26. Oh, and big news – it’s finally coming to Xbox One. I mean, some people are thrilled about that. Something about updates, space limits, yada yada. Just be ready by May 20 if you’re into pushing buttons with 32 other folks in some co-op mayhem.
Now, about this game. You play some poor soul doomed or whatever, shaking your fist at divine judgment. Sounds heavy, right? But there’s this whole 33-player co-op chaos with instant matchmaking. You team up against swarms of monsters and, I dunno, huge scary bosses. Gear up with relics – like, imagine bling for your soul – to boost your chances in this eternal struggle. I mean, who wouldn’t want to face off with divine wrath?
And look, they’ve done stuff with updates. You can now rebind controls (finally!). They’ve fiddled around with things like the Sword of Justice and the Staff of Sloth – apparently players had beef. Bows and daggers got adjustments too. Some feats were glitchy or whatever, so they fixed those. Wondering what else got tweaked? There’s a whole list somewhere, patch notes, I think.
Here’s when the playtest runs: from Tuesday, May 20, 8 am PT, until May 26, 8 am PT. Kind of straightforward. Want in? That day, just sign into your Xbox or PC, open the Xbox Insider Hub app (or grab it from the Store if you’re clueless). Head to Previews, find “33 Immortals,” hit join. Wait it out a bit, and you’ll get shuffled to the Store to grab the Beta. Quick heads-up: there’s limited space, so don’t dawdle.
Now, if the game starts acting weird during the playtest, don’t just sit there. Report the problem. Hold down your controller’s home button, select the report stuff, pick the game, and spill the details. They need ’em to figure things out.
For the curious ones, keep an eye on their X/Twitter @XboxInsider. Maybe scroll through their blog for updates and convo on the Xbox Insider SubReddit. It’s a whole thing.
