Sure, okay, so here’s the thing. I stumbled on this Reddit post and, wow, the moment it opened, I saw folks just diving into the guts of the Nintendo Switch 2 like it’s no big deal. I mean, you’d think people have better things to do, but nope, let’s just CT scan a gaming console. Makes total sense, right? But here we are—someone named Scan-of-the-month takes hobby electronics to a whole new level with this CT scan.
And what do we see? The mighty Nvidia Tegra SoC, like a little tech beast sitting in there. Oh, and there’s a giant battery too—5220mAh, apparently. Doesn’t that sound like a ton of juice? But hang on. Here comes the Realtek audio chip, and it’s like, “Hey, I’m here too, don’t forget me!” So cute. Just sitting next to the MediaTek module, handling all the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth stuff. Isn’t tech crazy sometimes?
Anyway, it’s not all shocking news. We kinda knew the Tegra was in there, but there’s just something about seeing it in this weird X-ray way. Whoever thought of putting the game console through a CT scan? I mean, did someone just say, “Hey, let’s just X-ray this thing and see what rattles?” Anyway, it’s nice seeing it all laid out, even if none of it surprises us, just gives you that tingly tech thrill, y’know?
Lots of fuss over a screen surviving pliers, though—yeah, like, smashing it fifty times, and it holds up. Wild. I’m not sure I’d want to try that. But kudos to whoever did it. Gives you a new appreciation for the build. And then there’s this other more civilized teardown video, all formal-like, piece by piece. Check it out if that’s your jam.
So, yeah, just a semi-normal day in tech fandom. Nothing ground-breaking, but it’s fun, isn’t it? Just seeing the innards all alphabet-soup labeled, even if it tells us stuff we sort of knew all along. But hey, no complaints from me. Just a bit of weekend geekiness to enjoy over a coffee. Cheers!
