Oh man, so there’s this game, right? Scar-Lead Salvation or something? It’s by Idea Factory and some other folks, and it’s kinda wild. I dove into it on my PS5, expecting… I dunno, unicorns? Ha, just kidding. It’s actually this crazy roguelite shooter thing. You play as Willow Martin. I swear, her situation freaked me out a bit. She wakes up in some room—not a clue how she got there. And her memory? Total blank slate. Like, who are all these people? Friend or foe? It’s intense.
Anyway, not sure why, but the enemies pop out like those whack-a-moles. You’re just trying to survive, and they just keep coming. And oh, the AI buddy you get… let’s just say I’m not 100% convinced it’s got my back. Maybe it does? Or not. Dunno. It’s like one of those mysterious side characters in movies that you’re suspicious of but kind of rely on anyway.
So, controls. Ugh, let’s see if I remember this! You move with the left stick, shoot with R2. Oh, and there’s a jump button—X I think—and some other crazy moves. Like Mirage Shift, sounds fancy, right? Dodging with style. Something about a small window of invincibility? I think I spammed that button like crazy.
And then you’ve got these armory boxes everywhere. Bust ’em open, and you get stuff. Pretty neat. Weapons, healing, etc. I don’t know why shooting boxes is so satisfying, but it is. Exo Force doohickeys, too. Once you fill up this skill meter, bam! More power, but watch out—get hit, and it’s game over for your power boost.
Okay, I keep jumping around here. There’s this shop thing in the game. You earn Elm—or something like that—to buy weapons and skills. Die, and you lose stuff. Classic game move. But it’s kinda addictive? You start with one skill slot but unlock more. Maybe stick with one skill, though? I found it works out better.
Now, I’m all about the trophies. Seriously, the game’s got a full list, ending with a shiny Platinum. Who doesn’t love that? Smashing those bosses, pulling off this Mirage dodge thing a ton—yep, all for the trophies.
So yeah, that’s Scar-Lead Salvation, sort of. What a ride. Willow’s stuck in this freaky space trying to piece things together… maybe worth checking out if you’re into intense shooters. It’s out now, and I guess jumping into it wouldn’t be the worst idea. Anyway, that’s it from me. Over and out.
